In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 020, it’s the final music video from my Sleepworld Radio “Incubator Chicks” EP. “Ontario Highway Collision” is a companion piece to the “Night Trucks On Highway 60” video as both lyrically play off of the rural highway tragedy theme. Additionally, the two videos share a visual style of using intimate closeups of faces that are altered. All in all it’s a pretentious bit of art that adds to the soundtrack of the Sleep World.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 019, I welcome you to visit the construction site of the portal to the Sleep World. In this ASMR roleplay, I don my site manager hardhat as we descend into drowsiness through repetitive and percussive tapping and crinkling along with some mind-altering narration. I hope you enjoy your tour and are ready to submerge yourself into the REM.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 018, I warm up my hands for future universe-building in this ASMR experiment. There is virtually no talking in this video as I do a lot of hand rubbing, wringing, snapping, clapping and popping with just the minimalist sounds of skin on skin. Hopefully this’ll relax you further and ease your gradual submersion into the Sleep World.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 017, it’s a return to the succinct experimentality of music videos. This one is a one-shot, one-take performance art piece paired with one of my solo tracks “Night Trucks On Highway 60”. Taken from the EP “Incubator Chicks”, recorded under the Sleepworld Radio moniker, the song lyrics connect to the video via a psychological fishing line, nearly indistinguishable and yet obvious once you’ve grabbed hold.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 016, I pour tea for two in this weird existential chat about my sapient panda brother, Teddy Zootine. It’s black and white and awkward as I ramble into madness and obsession, all the while providing a disjointed ASMR session. There’s whispering and tapping and pouring and sipping and gulping and even a really uncomfortable crying finale. I hope you enjoy this experimental piece…or at least politely stop the tape before judging my sanity too harshly.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 015, I continue with the second phase of collating my dreams in physical form with a completely wordless video. It’s all about fondling dreams, dispatching them, labeling them, and ultimately, washing them down the sink. This episode is complete ASMR with water sprays, squeaky packing peanuts, cutting, writing, burning, and squishing, all in the confines of a kitchen sink with but a pair of disembodied hands as a tour guide. The Slumberjack’s work is never done, it seems.
In SLUMBERJACK LEGENDS 014, it’s the beginning of the full Slumberjack revelation as I introduce the universe to the Sleep World. Regaling with my tales of journey in the domain of dreams, I unveil my collected fragments from the ether in this ASMR story. And now that I have spilled the pieces of REM sleep into the daylight, there is no turning back. The Empty World Spirits are after me and this is my final stand.
